I read somewhere that 9 out of 10 men have at least one homosexual experience in their life time. This is not very hard to believe, as i've been confided in by many different types of people, and you'd sure be surprised by who's done what. Most homophobia and gay bashing is perpetrated and practiced by men with latent and repressed homosexual tendencies and desires. Sadly you are likely one of those confused individuals. The more angered a person is by such an observation and the more homophobic an individual is, the more confused about their own sexuality they are likely to be and they act out of their own fear. This is usually acompanied by heavy denial. It seems much sadder to live with the confusion of repression than with the ridicule and abuse that can come with simply knowing who you are and accepting and loving yourself regardless of the hate foisted on you by others. It is common knowledge that often what we hate or are irked by in others is something we don't like about ourselves and we are fighting our own demons, just taking the abuse out on someone else. I hope that you will find a way to ask for the help you so obviously need.
