You will NEVER believe this one....

I'm still trying to find a headquarter number to call up and explode at. One evening, we decided to take our 3 year old son to the McDonald's play place. We live in the middle of nowhere, Ely, NV, and there's really not much to do. We rarely take him there, but for whatever reason decided we would. We had already eaten before we went so I figured I'd just order a happy meal, I'd eat the cheeseburger against my better judgement, and my son and husband could have a few fries. I thought my son might enjoy getting the little toy out of it if nothing else. Anyway, I proceeded to order the happy meal with ice water instead of pop (I will not allow my son to have pop under any circumstances and he loves water). I was informed that unless I actually took the pop that came with it, I could not have a happy meal or a toy. I told them I'd pay whatever they wanted me to, the regular price of a cheeseburger and fries, but to please give me water, I did not want pop. They would not do it!!!!! My son was denied the toy because I refused to take the pop. What the hell kind of logic is behind this? It is to their financial benefit to keep the blasted pop, but no, they wouldn't budge. Next time, if there is one, I'm taking the damn pop and I'm pouring it all over the counter and then I'm ordering a water. This is one of the most outrageous things I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
