Have you ever tried to support a family on mimimum wage?

No, I am not a greedy person. I worked to support my family during hard times.
I sacrificed for the good of my family, I didn't horde my menial paychecks for myself. I do thank fast food for letting me work although if I could walk about 20 miles to work everyday I would have gotten more money for an easier job. I am not the typical whiney teenager whose mommy and daddy made him/her get a job in fast food to pay car insurance, credit card bills, etc. I can't even afford to drive let alone have a car, but thankfully things have changed for my family's financial situation and I am able to go to college and concentrate on my education.

The bottom line is this: for a job as stressful and demanding as fast food ANYWHERE, minimum wage is just not enough. It is just not enough for other jobs too, like janitorial work, working with people (because people can be terrible to deal with), etc. Try supporting a family on minimum wage, it doesn't work too well.

As for McD's, when one is always told about doing such a good job and very few times being criticized (follow up corrections done immediately and problem never occurred again) and one doesn't receive a raise at the performance review time, one must wonder about the GREED of the CORPORATION FOR WHICH ONE WORKS.......
