I have to state that I agree with the stand that Mr. Morris makes. What the customer doesn't realize is that the staff turnover rate, at least in the USA, ranges on average from 200% to 300%. With a staff turnover rate that high, a customer is almost guaranteed to be serviced by an underexperienced employee. And if that particular McD's is anything like my former store, the employee was most likely undertrained as well. I was only trained for 3 days at my post, other posts I received a 5 minute basics lesson on that particular job. The employee that waited on the cheese customer's order probably didn't know what all came on the sandwich let alone how to punch it in the register as with cheese. It's simple: when you get a job at McD's you are automatically expected to be able to perform your job perfectly the minute you start and are expected to know everything there is to know about McD's. Think about it this way-would you expect an 18 year old freshman in college on his/her first day to just be able to walk on to the job of a neurosurgeon and be able to perform the job perfectly and know all there is to know? I don't think so.
