McChick: Could we continue this discussion later or simply discontinue it? I am so busy at the moment. I don't have the time to reply. I am a uni student, and I have assignments to do, and we seem to be going nowhere. DDN: Really? I felt that we were making great progress. Each new post was making it clearer and clearer that you (and many christians like you) have absolutely no idea what it is you are talking about. You don't have time to reply? You're earthly school assignments are more important than God now? Aren't you duty bound as a christian to assist me in salvation by explaining the Gospel to me and spreading the "Good News"?
McChick: One question I have: Are you genuinely interested in the Christian faith, or are you just using Shaun and I to knock it?
DDN: Yes, I'm very interested in it, but generally only as the socio-psychological phenomenom that it is. Its not MY fault if christianity (as a religion or system of belief) looks rediculous under the light of some basic scrutiny. Yes, I guess you could say you are being "used". But if you could give some straight, sensible answers to my questions you wouldn't have to worry about being "used" because you'd be making Christianity look desirable and understandable instead of making it look like the crackpot religion that it actually is.
McChick (cont): ......If so, I feel that my responding to your questions could be doing more harm than good.
DDN: That depends on how you define "good". "Good" to me means finding the Truth. If the Truth is that Christianity is bunch of bunk, and your responses reveal that to be the case, then responding to my questions is indeed a "good" thing. But, I do admire your awareness of your own limitations and your conviction to maintaining the integrity of your faith as demonstrated by your withdrawal from this discussion.
McChick (cont): ......It would probably be best for you to ask someone better educated than me, like a theologian (and I'm not saying thats a requirement, but obviously my answers are inadequate.)
DDN: Actually, I have, and I've received the same murky, contradictory responses that you and Shaun have pulled out of your ass.
McChick (cont):..... Just a few things: - You brought up the words "key parts" and then accuse me for using your words
DDN: I didn't "accuse" you of anything. I just asked you some good logical questions about the concept of the bible having "key parts". You don't like the questions because the true answers make the bible look even more rediculous than it already does, hence your use of the term "accuse".
