It's like when a religious guy says, "let's compare religion and godless communism' or some such nonsense. Catholicism is not 'pre-enlightenment', on teh contrary, it;s intensely relevant fro almost a billion people toay. The fact that a philosophy is old does not make it invalid- I'm sure there has to be a name for thsi fallacy.
