It would be the victims and relatives of the victims of the depredations of the Catholic Church. There's not much distortion in that. The Catholic Church is not Liberation Theology. LT may do a lot to bring concepts of radical justice (i.e., soical sin, etc..) to the fore but it certainly has a formidable opponent within the established and ruling elite of the Ctaholic Church.

Well I dont know the exact detail of the debate but I was led to believe that you where branding all religiously motivated progressives with contempt using catholicism as a case in point, perhaps I should check the thread.
