Question for Non-Americans re: Nuke treaty

To people from outside the USA:

As you may know, the U.S. Senate last week failed to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Most major American newspapers condemned the Senate for doing so, and even my Republican friends think it was a case of petty partisan politics.

I'm interesed to know what reaction, if any, came from your country.
