: Let's face it, there IS no easy answer to the research question. Yes, it is cruel to subject animals to research. But would it be fair to obtain humans for all kinds of tests, forcibly or voluntairly?

This is the kind of behaviour that was condoned in Nazi Germany because the state was so sick and savage, the difference between them and us is that we should moderate the state to prevent it doing anything other than enacting an elightened do onto others as would have them do unto you. I hope you all know that the US and Russians where able to put men in Space and on the Moon because Jews where put in Pressure Chambers until their heads exploded and suspended in Ice Tanks until they became human icicles etc. it's no giant leap for mankind in my opinion anyway, and a lot of people forget Armstrongs "one small step for man" was scripted by a Nazi Scientist too.
