: No, I'm not. It doesn't make a difference what church you go to, what matters is what you believe. It doesn't make a difference if you are Catholic, Methodist, Pentecostal, Lutheran, Baptist, non-denomonational etc... unless you have been born again, you are not a Christian. Now this is SHITE!!! I've yet to read in the Bible all this Born Again Bullshit, but I have read that On the Judgement Day Jesus says right you boys who gave water to the thirsty, clothes to the naked, food to the hungery etc. just go right on in, the rest of you clear off!! (although he'd have said it in a more fitting manner).
Is Gandhi in Hell? A devote Hindu and yet best example of a Christian, who coined the phrase "I like your Christ but not your Christians".
:I really dont want to get in the religious discussion because this really isn't the place and it's not a very popular topic here. But the first Christian church started at the time just after Jesus' death and ressurection (actually, you could say that it started with Adam and Eve) Anyway, the first Christians truly worshipped God, and you can read about in the book of Acts. As time went on, churches started teaching unbiblical doctrines and some people were believing them.
Churches? Get it right there was one Church, it remains the one True Church, as for unbiblical doctrines what unbiblical teaching has the Catholic Church ever espoused? I can give you Chapter and verse in E-mail how every Catholic belief relates directly to the Bible.
The sale of parchments granting fuedal positions in heaven and santification of authority etc. where wrong and evil and desearved to be challenged but this was a political evil, on behalf of institutions not a religious one on behalf of the scholarly theologians.
:Then some people said "Wait a minute! What is going on here? Why are these people and churches straying away from what the Bible and Jesus says?" So those people broke away and called themselves protestants.
Well actually M. Luther said I'm burning this dictate, which was fair enough it was important in forcing the church to accept that Christ's death saved everyone regardless of denomination.
JC predicted the reformation: The Prodigal Son and the bit where the disciples say to him about the dudes casting out demons in JC's name EG should we stop them? when JC said no whoever is with us isnt against us.
:So even though I attend a pentecostal church, which is protestant, I don't consider myself pentecostal or protestant. I just consider myself a Christian. As for your questions about the other religions you mentioned, I never even heard of Egyptian Coptic Christians, and although I have heard of the Orthodox Christians, I really don't know much about them, I thought they were similar to Catholics though.
Just display lack of knowledge here and further the testimony based souly on prejudice that Catholic=Bad, not True Christians etc.
