     3        remember when Geoffrey Juliano resigned or finished his
     4        position as the main ronald mcdonald actor throughout the
     5        1980s?
     6        A.  I am not familiar with that name.  He was never -- that
     7        person, or the name are you talking about, was never a
     8        principal Ronald.  I do not even know who that person is.

    11        A.  Absolutely not.

    14        saying:  "I brainwashed youngsters into doing wrong.  I

    16        concerns that make millions by murdering animals"?

    32        what I think I read somewhere -- I cannot remember where it
    33        is now -- I think it was in 1989 that the worldwide
    34        advertising promotions spent by the McDonald's system, if
    35        you like, was $1.1 billion.  Has it gone up since then?  Do
    36        you know what the figure is now, at all?
    37        A.  I do not know what the exact figure would be, but
    38        probably if you used somewhere in the neighbourhood of the
    39        percentage we were talking about, 5, 5.5. per cent against
    40        overall sales, you would get close to the number.  But I
         have not seen a compilation number; at least, I do not
    42        remember one.
