Bill, aka Spike, you asked a few days ago why I'm a vegetarian. My primary reason for being a vegetarian is ethical: I find it wrong to kill animals for their flesh when a perfectly acceptable, indeed nutritionally superior, vegetarian alternative exists (note #1 - I'm vegan, not veggie; note #2 - my ethical concerns are underscored by the miserable factory farm systems of today). Secondary reasons include the environment, social issues, aka world hunger, and spiritual.
