Gideon, dear chap,You are excitedly wrong about God and His word. Sorry.
Applying Aristotle-ing logic to an extra-dimensional God is futile. It proves nothing.
God's Truths are paradoxical Truths.
I would suggest you give Victor Pearce's Evidence for Truth: Archeology and Science series (Eastbourne) a go before you dismiss Joshua.
By the way, I heard the weather lady tell me the time for "sunrise" the other day. Did I hear her correctly? You mean a PhD on TV actually believes the earth is stationary and the sun moves around it? Moreover, she mentioned something about sea-level. Do people really believe the sea is flat? (Does this not illustrate to you what you do so cleverly with words, Gideon.)
No one buys it, sorry.
: Oh, and by the way, you know who originally formulated the theory of relativity? Galileo - and the Church nearly killed him for it.
Kind of like how the official state-run libraries, universities, museums, popular comercial "science" media, do to believers when they dare introduce ideas that "Officialdom" doesn't quite accept as dogma, these days, hey?
In reality the state-church of the middle ages is the same as the state-bureacrats of today. Entrenched power stays entrenched, especially in universities.
(Heretic, drag him away...)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
