Gideon, dear chap,

Don't you love intellectual self-righteousness. I hate that almost as much as Christian self-righteouness.

: God is extra-dimensional? How do you know this?

The Bible is full of statements revealing God's extradimensionality.

"Before Abraham was, I am" (Time)

Jesus passing through walls. (Space)

He chose me before the creation of the world. (Space, Time, and Spirit)

And there are many more.

: You have no actual evidence to support that claim, Robert.

: : God's Truths are paradoxical Truths.

: Would you care to explain exactly how you know what 'God's Truths' are? - WITHOUT recourse to Christian dogma, which is itself founded on an unprovable?

Physically (in our realm) impossible to prove. The chances of it not being true are less than the chance of a reversal of entropy, however. So your very heart beat depends on it.

: : I would suggest you give Victor Pearce's Evidence for Truth: Archeology and Science series (Eastbourne) a go before you dismiss Joshua.

: Which is demonstrably, as Floyd has said, complete nonsense.

Please state which chapter and precise phrase that you disagree with, rather than giving it a blanket refusal here. (Who's being dogmatic?)

: : By the way, I heard the weather lady tell me the time for "sunrise" the other day. Did I hear her correctly?

: Yes; and you know exactly what she's referring to; local sidereal time; not universal time. The time at which the Earth's rotation brings a spot on the surface out of shadow.

: : You mean a PhD on TV actually believes the earth is stationary and the sun moves around it?

: Of course she doesn't. Don't be silly, Robert. It's a linguistic convention, nothing more.

Do you not allow the same convention to be used in the Bible, that is, establishing a frame of reference?

: : Moreover, she mentioned something about sea-level. Do people really believe the sea is flat?

: Again, of course not.

: : (Does this not illustrate to you what you do so cleverly with words, Gideon.)

: Robert, quit this poisonous mewling; it's not a Christian thing to do.

Refutations may seem poisinous to you. They illustrate with honesty the very things you do. All I'm doing is holding up a mirror to your face.

: I use the accepted scientific and logical terminology to describe demonstrable physical phenomena. If you don't understand standard terms, I suggest you try reading a book sometime.

: But please don't blame me for your breathtaking ignorance about basic Galilean relativity.

: : No one buys it, sorry.

: Does this mean that you're now going to stop using any product of the various scientific theories and their applications, Robert?

: Have fun in the Stone Age.

: : : Oh, and by the way, you know who originally formulated the theory of relativity? Galileo - and the Church nearly killed him for it.

: Actually, if you care to examine the facts, astronomical debate has been the direct cause of precisely zero deaths in the last 500 years; whereas deaths in the name of Christian orthodoxy have topped many millions.

: Scientists may laugh at you, but we never crucify people literally...

Not true. The science of eugenicism, founded in England, had great effect on people. Exported to Germany it laid the base for extermination of millions. Exported to America it laid the base of Sanger's "more from the fit, less from the unfit" abortion movement. Currently that kills millions of peaceful and innocent children each year. Utter silence from the Darwinsitic community.

Apparently modern day Darwinsits have learned absolutely nothing from the horrors of their Nazi past.

Christianity never killed anyone, perhaps churchianity did, but there is a big difference here. (Much like er, hem self-righteousness intellectual or otherwise)

God Bless.

Robert
