You don't know how much the little rhetorical question about "Imperial Corrupters" pisses me off. Since we keep hearing it incessantly, I believe I'll respond witha little rhetorical question of my own. The fact that much of the Bible'smore literal claims are false (or improbable to the point of being nearly impossible) can be nothing but obvious to anyone objective. Witness the myth of Joshua stopping the earth in its orbit, the six-day creation, simultaneous creation, the denial of evolution, the missing Cain's wife, etc. It is clear that much of the Bible, at least, was written by fallible, mistaken humans. So let me ask:
"Why do those who claim Biblical inerrancy sumbit so willingly to their deluders?"
