Day 065 - 09 Dec 94 - Page 57

  Q. I can tell you, between 16th and 20th June 1994.
       A. Yes.

  Q. Face-to-face interviews with 633 parents.

MR. MORRIS: We have the summary of it but we have not got the
original. It is our mistake, really, we did not bring it.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you remind me where it was again?

MR. MORRIS: I think we have found a copy.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you have it now?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, we have found a copy now. It was out of
       place.

MR. RAMPTON: I notice from -- it is not in any sense a hidden
exorcet Ms. Dibb -- the report itself that you got from
MORI the questions which in the summary are numbered 1, 2,
       3 and 4 were, in fact, numbered differently 2, 3, 4 and 5?
       A. The first question was: "Are you a parent?"

  Q. Exactly. I thought that is probably what it was.
       A. Yes.

  Q. There was nothing of any significance?
       A. No, because obviously the MORI omnibus includes many
people who -- sorry, not just "were you a parent", I think
it is "were you a parent of a child under 16", does it say?

  Q. I do not know because I cannot remember; it does not
       matter.
       A. It does say, but the question one was to ascertain
whether, in fact, the respondent was a parent of a child
under 15, 16 whatever, or is it 14?

MS. STEEL: It says 15 in the summary.

  THE WITNESS: Right, 15.

MR. RAMPTON: There must have been another one after that.
       A. Because these questions were only put to parents with
       children under 15.

  Q. The questions reported in the summary start at question 3,
so there must have been a second question as well. What it
was, I do not know, but it probably does not matter.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: "Current food advertising encourages children
       to eat a healthy diet".

MR. RAMPTON: That is in fact question 3 if one looks at the
       MORI document itself.

THE WITNESS: The first two questions were to ascertain they
were the correct sample, parents with children under 15.
There were not any other questions that have not been
reported about their attitudes to food advertising.
