was an examined course which I successfully completed.
I have also researched and written on the subject of
children's diets, specifically for the school meals
campaign, and I am co-author of two reports, School Meals
Fact Sheet, which was jointly published by the Food
Commission, and the Child Poverty Action Group in September
1991. And also I was one of the authors of the Nutritional
Case for School Meals published by the School Meals
       campaign in June 1992.

  Q. Can you just say a little bit about what the school meals
       campaign is?
       A. The School Meals Campaign is an alliance of
organisations who came together to defend and extend school
meals provision in this country. School meals have been
recognised as contributing to children's diets. There has
been concern about policies which have led to cuts in
school meals provision and policies, which have led to a
lowering of nutritional standards for school meals. My
work in this area has focused on children's diet and the
role that school meals can play in relation to improving
       children's diets.

  Q. Just looking at paragraph 1 of your statement that you have
looked at food advertising aimed at children, do you want
to give a bit of an explanation, just generally, of what
you have looked at and what you have found?
       A. I have been involved in a number of monitoring surveys
looking at the nature and extent of food advertising to
children. Perhaps it would be appropriate to refer the
court to the references on this?

  Q. Right. If you tell us what you want the court to look at?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: As you refer to a document, if you can
identify it so that everyone can find it if we have it.

MS. STEEL: I saw what you picked up. I was wondering, are you
going to refer to the Food Commission surveys?
       A. Yes, is that -----

  Q. No, that is fine. For some reason, although they are
listed as references at the back of Ms. Dibb's statement,
they were put in the Plaintiffs' section B, "Sue Dibb's
references not relied on". I am not sure why they went in
       there.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not mind where it is as long as you can
identify the volume, so as a document is referred to I can
get it out and look at it.
       A. This is section B, Nos. 5 and 6.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where do I find that?

MS. STEEL: The pale green references for Sue Dibb. Do you want
to explain what you found when you looked at the
advertising aimed at children; just a general background
picture of what you found really?
       A. This survey monitored advertising on children's
television between 4.00 p.m. and ten past five in the
