full statement:
I was a staff person with the Philadelphia Unemployment Project in Philadelphia, PA, United States from 1988 -1990. One of the projects I worked on was a study of wage rates for fast food workers in the Philadelphia inner city and its suburbs (know collectively as the Delaware Valley), including McDonald's. My research was done between August and October, 1989. My information was totally based on what managers and owners directly told me that the starting wage rates were in their stores.
The result of my research showed a wide disparity between wages of McDonald's workers in the inner city and those in the suburbs.
