Except some people do....
Most of the problem with McD's is that people jsut apply the book indiscriminately - and whilst taht is what Fred Turner and Ray Kroc may have espoused in the first place - I don't think that is really what they expected. A bit of ingenuity (which is sadly lacking in 99% of McD's managers and staff) is what might just come in handy...
