... I know of a lawyer friend of mine, one who is very careful about her health, and especially conscious about her weight. She is something of a 'Diet Coke' fanatic ... One day, during a meeting with two of her clients, she felt a numbness in her extremities. She called the meeting short; feeling lightheaded afterwards, she decided to sit down - and found herself unable to rise. Paralyzed, she was rushed to the hospital, where in the span of several days her span of movement slowly returned.
I am not making this up ... Since I last saw her, the physicians involved were not able to diagnose the cause of her seizure. So far as I know, she hasn't had any recurrences, but I have not seen her in several years ...
When next I do, I shall be sure to relate your suspicions to her.
