I work with the public every day except for the weekend, yes it is hard and not much fun sometimes. But you are in that job, you get a paycheck, and that means you put up with the complaints. If you don't think you can handle it ,get out. You either like your job and working for the public, or your in the wrong position. I worked retail for over 10 years and bottom line most people are great, you have a small percentage of problem customers, you can refer them to upper managment if the problem gets out of hand. But what I really resent is when clerks talk, and gab when they are supposed to be working, then act like you are rude if you interrute their chat session. I find that burns me up when young whiney kids are getting paid to do a job and fail to earn their pay check. So don't cry, about your job. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen
