Hey McSpotlight your little organization here made the news on this side of the world. I saw a story about Helen and Dave in our newspaper today, and it said something about they have to pay mcdonalds $60,000 for defamation or something like that? Why?

McSpotlight: The damages in the McLibel case were reduced from 30000 pounds apiece to 20000 pounds apiece (a reduction of 30%). It's still a moot point, as McDonald's could never afford to get the money off them; the publicity cost would far outweigh the financial gain.
