The whole libel case was heard before one judge with expert legal knowledge....NOT a jury, which are public members....McDonalds eating public members I am sure. That was the whole problem with the case to start.
Personally would you like to be the recipient of an allegation and stand before one man rather than a public gallery? I'd take my chances, and I thought it was incredible that Helen and David upheld at least half the points made in the libel case.
