: How come if Ronald advertises his hamburgers, how come he is not big and fat if he eats them? I'm surprised he didn't have a heart attack yet from eating all that McDonalds food.Consider the case of Dave Thomas, the chubby fellow who founded Wendy's restaurants, in Columbus, Ohio, USA, in 1969. He has been their spokesman for nearly ten years now, although he holds no official position in the company. To make a long story short, he had to have bypass surgery about a year and a half ago. His love of hamburgers nearly killed him. He still appears in Wendy's advertisements, but is never depicted eating the ahmburgers anymore.
I knew a fellow who worked for Wendy's, and he had the opportunity to meet Dave Thomas. Dave Thomas is mostly retired, except for his appearances in those television commericals, and spends most of his time travelling around the country in an RV (caravan to a Brit). He stopped by Wendy's. He came to the kitchen briefly to shake everyone's hands, but spend most of his time eating in the dining room. He always pays his own way, I'm told, but that man can EAT like there's no tomorrow! He had two Triples, a bowl of chili, two Biggie fries, a Spicy (fried) Chicken sandwich, and Biggie chocolate milkshake, all in the span of 90 minutes. This was before the bypass surgery.
