Controlling drugs

Personally, I'm in favor of making the use of any recreational drug, including alcohol, tobacco and caffeine, taboo. Another possible option, however, would be to restrict thier usage to highly controlled eniroments. I don't know how practical either of these solutions is, but until appropriate criteria are used to distinguish drugs, we're no more than hypocrites for allowing nearly free access to the very harmful drugs of alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine.
