Well, the moderator beat me to the punch, but I'll say I agree with her/him. Animal cruelty aside for a moment (though why it should be sidelined is beyond me), the beef industry is destroying a multitude of delicate balances in our biosphere. Countless species and entire ecosystems are wiped out thanks to every dollar invested by beef consumers. Now, I am not omniscient, but I know this: such vast destruction is guaranteed to affect the WHOLE planet, and those who depend on this planet's Life-cycle to exist. Now, EVEN IF you don't give a rat's ass about the trillions of other individual organisms on this planet, in case it hadn't occurred to you before, YOU are one of those who DEPEND upon this biosphere for your existence. Furthermore, I will take this opportunity as a privileged person to voice my disapproval with your laissez faire attitude. You may not care what happens to your home, but I care about where I live, and I am not willing to sit idly by while misinformed, ignorant, and selfish people destroy it because, thanks to society's misinformation, they fancy themselves to be carnivorous, perched atop (removed from?) the food chain, but at the same time are too lazy (alienated from real Life?) to go kill themselves a wild goat. Don't go telling me I should allow other people to destroy the planet. I won't listen.
