Muddled? Care to point out what is muddled and why?
Is there something that is beyond your reach in differentiating a monastic form of communism and a political/economic form? The sort of Communism that you advocate I believe has nothing to do with abbys and monks but rather with comrades and revolutions.
One, 'commune-ism', is based on sacred scripture whereas the other type, Communism is based on Marxism/Leninism/Trotskyism.
One has been in existence since the early church fathers. The other is a relatively new political/economic impulse.
And finally, one has proven itself to be successful while the other is a dismal failure.
