: While on earth, Monks and Nuns participate in and submit to social relations. They may live communally amongst one another, but their institutions live by capital's rules. Hence, they submit to an political/economic form (one you approve of---capitalism).If that's OK by you (living communally amongst one another while living in a capitalist society), why not accept the inverse?
A household---which exists within a socialist society---could live amongst one another capitalistically. They could sell one another dinners, conversations, kisses, etc.---or 'hire' one another to do such services in return for other services (laundry, changing diapers, being quiet at night, etc.)...
Would they be capitalists?
Of course not---it's their relation to society that counts. If they lived in a socialist society they wouldn't be receiving anything they need outside of their house by their own rules, they'd be receiving what they need by the rules of society. Conversations and kisses would not take care of their needs outside their house---work would.
