It was my impression that communism is simply a con. The idea is to 'raise the consciousness' of the mark, then turn him or her on the closest source of wealth nearby. One pockets the proceeds (in the name of the people, of course) and moves onto the next mark. If the country is lucrative enough one can even set up shop (like an organized crime syndicate - KGB, anyone?) and rake in the loot over several decades.

Gee. Everyone in Eastern Europe seems to be hip to this scam. Or am I being too ... cruel?
