Wrong. Just ask Ed Rensi, former "top dog" at McDonalds. He started out flipping burgers. Just ask the manager of the McDonalds in my town. He started out sweeping the parking lot. He also happens to be African-American. Imagine that! Why not contact the hundreds of owner-ops who started out as crew and worked their way up?
