Qx: I'm quite skeptical of "rags to riches" stories. Look at that U.S. Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas. He's a real son-of-bitch to his real family and they live pretty badly. He's also a member of the Horatio Alger Society and they need to be looked at with a very critical eye.
