Let me piont out the major flaw in socialism. It doesnt work. This is because it inspires massive corruption and there is no compeditive spirit. If you are never going to be better off in life unless you cheat and steal, then what is stopping you? As massive corruption severly damages the economy and it is mostly found in the highest levels of government, who are untouchably under most socialist states, the police are corrupted and there is almost no chance of being caught as all the judges are corrupt and so are the police.And what is the motivation to work if no matter how good you are at your job or how demanding you job is in time and comittment, if you recieve the same pay who sweeps the floor on Thurdays? Why would you bother to work hard if you knew that all your working wages where going to somone who you thinks doesnt deserve them?
But, with capitalism there is a great amount of motivation to improve your condition, which brings me to another piont, most socialists are under the misconception that there is only so much wealth around. This is totally false, all volantary economic activity generates prosperity as long as neither party is cheating or lying. Also lots of donations are made under capitalism, and the person decides who to give it to, i would much rather suppoort world visions that uses only volentears as employes than have my money forcfully taken away from me by a government that is going to use up 50% of it in administration(sometimes as high as 95%). I myself donate 1/3 of my salery to charity and it makes me feel good about myself, not like ive been ripped off like people who are forced to give their money away.
