I was listening to NPR last week while getting dressed in the morning and there was a report about how the Cambodian government has tried to get all exiled Cambodian artists back to Cambodia as the Khmer Rouge destroyed a large part of their cultural tradition. Shockingly, they discovered that 90% of all the artists in Cambodia were killed by the Khmer Rouge. There is only a handful of people left who actually have knowledge of the traditional dances of Cambodia. It is a very tragic thing.
