Of course, it would be too much to ask the Left to take responsibility for this human tragedy. One would think that they might at least support a socialist version of USAID to help rebuild what Ho & Co. worked so hard to destroy. This, too, is out of the question - the Vietamese government has learned to be very careful what the West is allowed to know about their quaint activities, and such a program might raise too many uncomfortable questions.
