The problem right now is that capitalism is working freely in many lands. This leads to exploitation of the masses. Some might say that this a natural outcome of capitalism, that people of exceptional talent and drive are able to bend social reality around to suit themselves under a capitalist system. Others may say that these same people will not perform if the years and fortunes they spend on educating themselves and starting companies are not allowed to bare fruit in accordance with their expectations. Regardless, these few should not be allowed to dictate to the rest what constitutes a fair wage, what constitutes a fair contribution, what constitutes a fair living standard. We should pass laws that fairly redistribute wealth. If everyone made exactly the same income, regardless of presumed "intelligence" or "drive" or "talent," we would solve all our current social inequities. An income would not depend on "work" as that would still leave many out on the fringes. Ambition and energy are attributes that come with the genes, and are hence outside the control of individuals--thus people should not be held hostage due to their particular situations. What a person does, or does not do, in the way of employment cannot be allowed as a criteria for compensation, otherwise we are right back where we started.
