You politicized this event faster than any two-bit politician and ranted ever so much more futiley. That little girl died on account of low life, drugged out piles of human garbage who left several loaded weapons in reach of a six year old boy. You'd think even a doctrinaire such as yourself might reflect on individual responsibibly for half a minute before trying to lay this sorry, irresponsible behavior off on a corrupt system.
I mean really, Floyd. At what point do we absolve people of their rotten choices in life? These people (not the natural father or mother) were doing drugs in front of this kid daily. There were drugs in the house all the time. Loaded guns were where the kid could find them.
You're not going to judge that as abject depravity? You're going to attempt to excuse them by citing the influences that allegedly created them and their lack of judgement? I have no idea whatsoever how Nike and McDonalds find themselves even remotely attatched to this issue.
Way long stretch, dude.
If you're not inclined toward swift punishment for these irresponsible adults as a practical reaction to their poor behavior, you can only be hoping to create a system that it's going to produce superior humans that won't make these kinds of choices. Well, you're going to pine away for many long, dark nights, I expect.
