:: The first time I fired a handgun I was shaking like a leaf. The things are just so damned dangerous! What was even scarier, though, was how I stopped worrying and learned to love it. BLAM BLAM BLAM! I shot a 44 magnum like Dirty Harry and a Glock 9 mm. like some bad-ass gangsta, and that power trip went straight from my hands to my pecker! I think that's why all the pro-gun guys are so fanatical about it. Guns=power=sex.I'm quite "pro-gun" as you say but I've never been aroused by one. You should think through your rhetoric a bit before you regurgitate it all over yourself. It's pretty offensive to be characterized by someone, who obviously shouldn't own a firearm due to certain sexual maladjustments, as himself sexually attracted to weapons. When you claim any intergrity in the future, I may remind you of this.
I became interested in them after I was willed my grandfather's service revolver. He was a motorcycle cop in Compton, CA all his life and took me to the firing range when I was a child a few times. I moved from the city to the country 5 years ago and began to carry it with me on walks with my family through the mountain trails (lots of bears and cougars - you know).
You guys mischaracterize the vast majority of people who responsibly own and operate guns. We are not kooks who have an erotic response to power. Those that act irresponsibly with weapons are no more representative of me, and the huge group I'm in, than militant, vandalizing vegan punks represent you.
