: : : : : Have you sold yours yet? : : : DDN: Yeah, I sold mine and then walked down the street to the nearest solar powered car dealership and picked up a bran new 4 door family sedan.
: Copenhagen: That wasn't my question, nevertheless, i suggest you sell your car and purchase some form of environmentally friendly transport, say a bicycle.
: Morris: The 32 mile commute in 20-degree (F) temperatures to and from my job would probably numb my fingers to the point that I couldn't shift gears. Perhaps I need a more environmentally friendly job closer to home, which would be cooking fried things in one of about 6 nearby taverns. It would also end the drunken driving legal hassles.
Be sure to use only polyunsaturated pure vegetable oil. Any animal fats would definitely be environmentally unfriendly as well as upsetting to the animal rights activists.
And be sure to use only dead wood -- no coal or oil -- for the fire to heat that oil to frying temperature. Of course, you could use a solar-powered cooker, but don't cut down any trees to build a frame to put it in.
As a matter of fact, you should probably move -- by walking or bicycle of course -- far enough south so that you can live out in the open and still be warm without having to burn anything to put environmentally unsafe pollutants and other by-products into the air.
Maybe you should only fry sea-weed -- as long as you can harvest it in a manner which does not disturb the sensitive aquacultures.
Ah, well. Too much thinking involved. Maybe I'll drive down to McDonald's and eat a hamburger and fries.
