Do people still need that sense of a house of worship, singing, moral study?

: : I don't know if there's a God, or what that God may want from us. Organized religion is, in my humble opinion, a bunch of hooey based on manmade rules, and I want nothing to do with it.

It may be a little soft for my newfound pals at the Debating Room, but I think that everyone has the potential to get something out of religion, organized or not. The sentiment that it's "hooey" is very valid. However, it applies, for me, only to the manmade rules which are extemporaneous, or which foster prejudice or hatred of people outside one's beliefs and religious community. "Community" is also a big key word here. Organized religion was practically the original community; religion was a major basis of cluster groups in world society up until this century. Do people still need that sense of a house of worship, singing, moral study? Or has it been legitimitely replaced?
