: you forgot about Purgatory, Floyd. i think that many Christians would argue that the Pygmies, and other tribes who haven't read the Bible, will go to purgatory after they die, which effectively gives them another chance at getting into heaven or hell.
Purgatory is where you get punished for your evil deeds like murder and then once your cleaned (a sacred carwash) your fit for heaven, regardless of faith etc.

Gerard Winstanley of the Diggers had theories of purgatory style venues and a lot of fringe protestantism or ecumenicals have accepted that if God is merciful then he'll not be as keen on excluding people as some miserable evangelists make out.
:Also, according to the majority of Catholic doctrine (at least, until Vatican II, as far as I know), the doctrine was that no-one in Purgatory could go to Hell and no-one in Hell could go to Purgatory; the purpose of Purgatory was just to clean up the lightly-tarnished until they were fit to go to Heaven.
Not really lightly tarnished everyone, that is a middle style view too, the right says only catholics who've been bad get the opportunity and the left say no one goes to hell who isnt a satanist or lives consistantly with satanic principles EG nazis.

McSpotlight: My previous comments were based on what I knew of "old" Catholic doctrine - i.e. prior to Vatican 2; which was convened in 1962; the policy may have changed since then and I haven't read the proceedings of Vatican 2.
