: :: and are the healthier and more humane choice for foods.: State the health study which proves that.
Well, the largest dietary study of all time(I'll go home and look up the name), involving several thousand people, comparing North Americans and Chinese people, revealed the the average north american consumes 2-3 times the amount of animal products of a Chinese person. The relative levels of dietary illnesses come out strongly in favour of vegetarian leanings. Furthermore, I've read variously that vegans live on average 6 years longer than non-vegans. What else? Well, North Americans consume (as stated above) significantly more animal products (therefore fat) than most other cultures. We also have higher levels of osteoperosis, heart disease, diabetes, and other dietary related illnesses. Speaking from personal experience, I feel significantly healthier after 3 years of veganism, and those I know, who have switched to non-meat diets, have noticed health improvements, often very rapid.
