: No scientific content really. He even refers to himself as a carnivour, when that you be omnivour. Opinions are not unique, everyone has one.

I hope he spelt it right ;)

Anyway I didn't suggest it as a scientific link, merely as one that I had found while looking and which, as a good piece of article writing should, had provided me with some amusement and a few things to think about. What is this site if not the expression of opinions? You have yours, and I have mine.

: I personally feel that the stance of the American Dietician Assoc, Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine and even Dr spock and so on, being that a vegan/vegetarian diet is healthy, is all the relevenace I need.

Great, my dispute is not that the diet is healthy or unhealthy, rather that it has not been shown to be signiicantly more healthy than a balanced omnivorous diet. What I'm happy to accept is that there are more vegetarians eating a healthy diet than omnivores. The fact seems to be on health grounds that we should all eat more fruit and veg, not that we should all give up meat.

:My own meat eating family doctor agrees. The studies I've read illustrate the benefits.

And the studies I've read don't.

:The tax breaks, coverups and creulty in the meat industry further back up my stance.

Which is on the moral high ground. I've no problem with this argument. Not that I agree, but I imagine you are no more like,y to convert me to veganism than I am likely to convert you to meat eating (flesh consuming etc). All I am saying is that is that there is not as much science behind it as some people like to think.
