Robert: So you cleverly equate the conscience of a beast with the conscience of man here. Perhaps that's the root of your confusion. (good heavens)

Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your mind, and your soul." It is impossible for a beast to do that, hence it has the inherent ability to kill another beast without conscience. If humans want to start actinging like beasts, they'll kill without conscience likewise.
