: It's almost unbelievable to me in this era of "freedom", that atrocities like this take place. If this were to have happened in a straight club, it would have made the headlines. Rather, it is placed on the back page of certain left-wing papers.: I shall pose the question again. Is there anyone who denies that homophobic violence takes place? This is not even a matter of equal rights at this point, it is a matter of personal safety. It's one thing being fired from a job because you're queer, but being a bombing victim?
: What can be done? Why is this still happening? Why does it happen in the first place?

The lunatic who carried this out is now safely in custody. He also bombed West Indian and Pakistani people - obviously he is some right wing moron. But, I cannot see how this one isolated incident can be interpreted as confirmation of widespread homophobic aggression. Here in the UK, I challenge anybody to show that anything remotely like this has happened in recent times. This is one isolated incident, lets not inflame the situation further
