Keeping it behind "closed doors", as you put it, would be the act of people ashamed of what they are; in fact, one of the most liberating experiences of a homosexual's life is realising that they have the self-confidence to come "out of the closet" and admit in public what they are.
As a Christian, do you insist that Muslim women dress like Christian women? So why do you insist that gays behave in an unnatural (to them) fashion to satisfy your prejudices?

One of my best friends and her girlfriend are expecting a kid. I know her; she will make a great mother. I find your insistence that she be stopped from breeding because of her inclination highly insulting. When you consider the number of human wastes of space produced by straight parents every year, I think she has as much right to children as anyone.
