Day 273 - 03 Jul 96 - Page 31

McDonald's and through their respective solicitors Veggies
Limited and Greenpeace London engaged in the mutual sharing
of advice and information concerning the issues raised and
the implications of the "correction and apology" that had
       been negotiated".

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Now, I suggest you just leave that there.
       It is put very tersely.

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is what you were trying to ask about
       earlier.

MR. MORRIS: Right. Okay. "Since 1986"; is that correct?
       A. Yes, that again would be 8... That must be 88 actually
if it is speaking of the fact sheet as amended, since.
       That would have been 88.

  Q. Right. "So in 1988 Veggies Limited, since 1988, Veggies
Limited has continued to publish the same fact sheets
amended only in respect of the issues covered by the
"correction and apology", and have offered advice to other
groups and individuals on the agreement made whilst drawing
the implication that the issues not addressed in the
agreements had not been contested by McDonald's. Since
that time Veggies Limited have received no further
communication from McDonald's or their agents to indicate
that they have any further concern about the information
       distributed by Veggies Limited."

Then it says, "Patrick Smith for Veggies Limited, 21st
October 1993", and is that your signature?
       A. That is right, yes.

  Q. And you stand by that. Do you stand by that statement?
       A. Yes, I do.

  Q. The, when you reprinted the fact sheet, the Veggies version
of the London Greenpeace fact sheet in 1988, what format
       did it have?
       A. It was a similar two sheets of A3 paper folded
       together.

  Q. And so the one that we have?
       A. The same formats as the one you have.

  Q. As the one continued but--
       A. There would have been two changes on what is, in
effect, the centre page of the folded sheets.

  Q. The centre page?
       A. It is the one that has the "15 acres a minute" box in
       the top.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I do not think you need go through the
changes because I can compare them and, in fact, I have
been taken through them altogether. I think all Mr. Morris
is asking at the moment, it was presented in the same
physical form as you looked at?
