Day 273 - 03 Jul 96 - Page 27
copy of that. It is important because I think one of the
inquiry agents said that he saw a fold over leaflet, I
believe, in the London Greenpeace office. I cannot
recollect exactly, but that might conform to -- he could
not remember it opened right out or being a 3-page fold
over thing.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I think Mr. Smith -- have you seen this
Mr. Rampton?

MR. MORRIS: I have just given it to him. It is exactly those
pages in 208 copied and then folded over as it would have
been. So that would have been the Veggies.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, but would you show that to the witness
please? (Same handed)

MR. MORRIS: That was the leaflet.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Am I to keep a copy?

MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, I will put it in 208 but I want Mr.
Smith to see it first.

MR. MORRIS: Yes?
A. I have done a similar exercise with the copy from here
just to see how it actually went together.

MR. MORRIS: Do not alter the ones that are in the bundles,
anyway?
A. Right. Okay. I have seen that. Yes. (Same handed)

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Well, you see, why I ask, I have got four
sheets in the bundle?
A. That is right.

Q. In fact, it was two sheets printed on both sides?
A. That is right. The sheets from the bundle which have
simply been photocopied back to back, in that way, as I am
showing it here.

MR. MORRIS: It is in 208. Now this was the--

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just hold on a moment. At the moment I have
got two loose sheets. Were they stapled or fixed together?
A. Just folded together. Exactly as the format shows
there. Back to back, two separate sheets folded together.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am not challenging it, but just so I
understand. So that if, in fact, you opened it it would
not be at the beginning of the text because the beginning
of the text is there?
A. That is right. So the idea is you--

Q. You would open one, you have turned one flap back?
A. You have the front cover. You open up the first flap
and you start off with, "this leaflet is asking you to
think for a moment."
