Day 259 - 10 Jun 96 - Page 10
Q. I recollect that she came here quite a few times in the
early days. Would you disagree with that?
A. I would not disagree with it, but I could not say with
any certainty that she had.

MR. MORRIS: Can I just request through the court that we have
the photographs that the Plaintiffs have in court, so we
can check them before Mr. Nicholson leaves the witness
box?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. Have a look at them in the midday
adjournment.

MR. RAMPTON: It is better if I hand them over now, because
your Lordship did say that Mr. Nicholson should be finished
by noon. We may not even get a five-minute break.

Can explain what I believe they are? One is a lot that was
sent to -- one, my Lord, what I might call the original
prints, as it were, are what was sent to Kings to help them
identify the people, and I think they are all photographs
of the 1989 demonstration, but I will not swear to that.
The other is what was sent to Bishops, but they are not the
original prints; some of them are blow-ups of the other
ones, as it were.

MS. STEEL: (To the witness) If you could get out the pink
publication bundle A, please?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you mean 1A?

MS. STEEL: Yes, sorry, 1A.

THE WITNESS: Yes.

MS. STEEL: If you could just turn to tab 27, please?
A. Yes.

Q. Have you seen this leaflet before? This is anti-McDonald's
campaign 1988: "Putting the boot in Big Mac"?
A. I may well have done.

Q. If you just sort of cast your eye over it and tell us
whether or not you have seen it?
A. Almost certainly, yes. I almost certainly saw it,
because it is advertised in the October 16th World Day of
Action again. So it has probably gone through my desk,
yes.

Q. And, also, because you were the person who had main
responsibility for the London Greenpeace ---
A. Yes.

Q. -- what was going on with London Greenpeace?
A. Yes, that is true. But, you know, a lot of the stuff
would go straight to Terry Carroll. He was keeping a
file. I must have seen it.

Q. If you could turn to page 55?
A. Page 55, yes.
