2 MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, Mr. Fairgrieve is here but your Lordship
3 is provided with some information about the schedule before
4 Mr. Fairgrieve goes back into the witness box. Our
5 proposed running order for next week, from Monday 9th,
6 assuming we finish Mr. Nicholson this week, would be Denise
7 Pearce, Matthew Howes, and Brian Bishop to start, the first
8 two I anticipate shortly. I intend having
9 Mr. Bishop here in the hope we start on Monday.

11 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

13 MR. RAMPTON: On Tuesday 11th, I shall also have Mr. Pocklington
14 here. I hope Mr. Bishop may finish on 11th and
15 Mr. Pocklington starts. On Wednesday 12th, in addition to
16 Mr. Pocklington, if he has not finished, I shall have
17 Mr. Clare here, and on Thursday 13th, Mr. Clare again, and
18 Mr. Russell. That is when, unless something funny happens
19 to the case, my oral evidence will end, either on that day
20 or the following, but Mr. Russell will be my last witness.

22 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes. You said you had been able to pencil in
23 some of your--

25 MS. STEEL: Yes, we have, obviously, Crawford, and pencilled in
26 Professor Crawford for 17th and 18th, Jeffrey--

28 MR. JUSTICE BELL: He is fairly firm is he not?

30 MS. STEEL: Yes, he is. The only problem is that he has gone
31 off to America without doing the supplementary statement,
32 but, I mean, he has to come back anyway and he knows that.

34 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, we will see where we get to on that.

36 MS. STEEL: Jeffrey Cannon on 19th, Jane Brophy on 20th,
37 Danny Olive on 21st, Mr. Gravett on 25th, and we are not
38 really sure how long the Plaintiffs might want to question
39 him because, we thought -- we do not really know how long
40 they are going to take -- it would be helpful if they could
41 give some indication of whether he is likely to take longer
42 than a day.

44 MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you able to help on that, Mr. Rampton?

46 MR. RAMPTON: No, because for one thing we do not know how long
47 he is going to be in chief. I have not had any
48 supplementary statement from him. I do not know if there
49 is one, he is in some sense quite an important witness, in
50 some senses, if his evidence-in-chief took any considerable
51 time then I would not be able to finish him on 25th.

53 MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, just allow 25th for Mr. Gravett for the
54 moment.
