Day 250 - 15 May 96 - Page 45

your hand, or you had leaflets in your hand.

  Q. At that stage you were not sure which leaflets I had, it
       was just that you assumed?
       A. No, no, I just assumed they were the same leaflets.

  Q. Right. All the leaflets that you saw on that afternoon,
they were all white were they?
       A. I have in the back of my mind a thought that someone
somewhere had a pink coloured one. I think it was pink.
But most of them were white.

  Q. If you could get the photographs.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Pink 2, please?
       A. Thank you, my Lord.

  Q. Mr. Nicholson, you have had the volume with your statement
open in front of you while you were answering a series of
questions about 16th October, and you have not turned over
any page. Which page of which statement is it open at?
       A. It is open at page 4 of the first statement. I am
       sorry, where are the...

MS. STEEL: Sorry, in tab 5.
       A. Right.

  Q. It was photograph 10 that I think we were looking at?
       A. Yes, right, yes.

  Q. You said that, I think, you were standing approximately
where the man with the white jacket is?
       A. Yes, yes.

  Q. With the bag over his shoulder?
       A. Yes.

  Q. And facing roughly the same way as he was facing?
       A. Yes. I was probably nearer to where the photographer
would be there than they were. I do not think I was that
       far out in the road.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The photographer being the person leaning
       over with the ----
       A. No, the photographer, no, the person who actually took
this photograph, I would be nearer that photographer.

  Q. I see.

MS. STEEL: But still in that roadway in the bricked part?
       A. In the brick part, yes.

  Q. Right. The person that is bending over, that is roughly
where I was; is that right? I cannot remember exactly what
       you said.
       A. Well, you were trying to pinpoint where the hold-all
was. I think it would be round about there, I am not
saying that is exactly the spot where it was.

  Q. Right.
